March 2025 – Dursley, UK
A former team member and shareholder of The Everest Nepalese & Indian Restaurant, based at 18–20 Long Street, Dursley, GL11 4HX, has taken legal steps to recover unpaid funds he claims are owed to him by the business.
Khadak Singh Khatrichetri, who previously owned a 10% stake in Himal Food Ltd—the company operating the restaurant—has filed a case with the UK Small Claims Court, seeking a total of £8,400.
The claim includes:
- £3,000 for the value of his 10% shareholding, formally transferred earlier this month,
- £2,700 for outstanding holiday pay,
- And £2,700 for unpaid wages related to his termination of employment.
Mr. Khatrichetri stated that multiple informal efforts were made to settle the matter privately, but no resolution was reached. As a result, legal action was considered the only remaining course.
At the time of writing, Mr. Pirthaviraj Rawal, who manages the restaurant and represents Himal Food Ltd, has not commented on the legal proceedings. Locals and industry observers are expected to watch the situation closely as it moves through the appropriate channels.
